‘MasSpec Pen’ offers new method to determine tumor margins during surgery

A MasSpec pen, which is currently in development, has recently reported its first results from use during human surgeries. It is hoped that it will eventually replace histopathology as the de facto tool for determining tumor boundaries during surgery.
