Everyone in the UK with symptoms of colorectal cancer set to receive an at-home test

NICE’s diagnostic advisory committee have recently recommended the use of quantitative fecal immunochemical tests (FIT) using HM-JACKarc or OC-Sensor. Under previous NICE guidance, FIT was only offered to selected people presenting with symptoms of colorectal cancer, with others being referred straight away to further tests on the suspected cancer pathway. However, now, all individuals suspected of colorectal cancer will be provided with a FIT.
