Researchers have developed a program that could catch the early stages of lung cancer, dramatically increasing survival rates, while combating smoking. The Department of Health and Social Care, the Rt Hon Rishi Sunak MP, and the Rt Hon Steve Barclay MP have announced a new targeted lung cancer screening scheme, which aims to make screening easily accessible, especially in deprived areas, reducing health inequalities.
