Atkins is the Deputy Director of Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center and William M Scholl Professor and Vice Chair of the Department of Oncology at Georgetown University Medical Center, and a medical oncologist with a longstanding clinical and research interest in melanoma and kidney cancer therapy, immunotherapy, targeted and anti-angiogenic therapy and predictive biomarker research.
