Gene fusions can play a critical role in oncogenesis. The recent progress in next-generation sequencing (NGS) technology has provided significant advances for detection of gene fusions, beyond the resolution level of traditional methods like FISH, IHC and qPCR. In this brief webinar, we will summarize approaches for fusion detection and the important role of fusions for new therapies in cancer.
What will you learn?:
• Learn about different gene fusions present in various cancer types
• Develop an understanding of NGS technology and its advantages for fusion detection
• Gain insight on the important role of fusions for new cancer therapies
