A recent study based at Toronto's Joint Department of Medical Imaging, part of the University Health Network (UHN) Sinai Health and Women's College Hospital (Canada), utilized MRI to visualize the site of prostate cancer to allow for a highly targeted approach for high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) treatment, which showed minimal side effects.
