In Focus: comprehensive genomic profiling

Comprehensive Genomic Profiling (CGP) utilizes next-generation sequencing technology to enable simultaneous detection of multiple cancer biomarkers.  Currently, many sequential tests are used to assess single biomarkers for cancer diagnosis. By implementing a CGP approach, more information can be assessed from limited biopsy tissue to deliver time and cost savings. Recent years have seen growing adoption of CGP in oncology, but what are the next steps?

In this feature, we will be looking at how CGP can positively impact oncology practice and the challenges that need to be overcome. We will also be exploring how CGP can contribute to improve patient outcomes
