There has been a significant global increase in rates of melanoma over the past 10 years. In the UK numbers are increasing at an alarming rate and 1 in 36 men and 1 in 47 women will now be diagnosed with melanoma skin cancer in their lifetime. The good news is that nearly 9 out of 10 cases of melanoma are preventable with a safe approach to the sun and by avoiding sunbeds.
