The current evidence supports stereotactic radiosurgery alone for patients with limited brain metastases. Future directions include radiosurgery for other indications traditionally considered for whole-brain radiation. The aim of this presentation is to provide a current viewpoint on the role of radiosurgery and whole-brain radiation for patients with brain metastases.
