Prostate cancer urine test could predict outcomes 5 years earlier than current methods

A team of researchers, from the University of East Anglia and the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital (UK), have developed a urine test to diagnose aggressive prostate cancer and predict whether patients will require treatment up to 5 years earlier than standard clinical methods. The findings were recently published in the BJU International.“The really exciting thing is that the test predicted disease progression up to 5 years before it was detected by standard clinical methods.
