Androgen receptor structure offers new insights for prostate cancer treatment

A team of researchers from the Baylor College of Medicine have investigated the 3D structure of the androgen receptor, a primary driver of prostate cancer. The findings from the study, recently published in Molecular Cell could suggest new treatment designs for prostate cancer in the future.Co-corresponding author Dr Bert O’Malley (Baylor College of Medicine) commented: “To treat this cancer effectively, we need to better understand how the androgen receptor works.
