Sodium thiosulphate halves hearing loss in children following cancer treatment

A study conducted by Cancer Research UK (London) has provided evidence that administering sodium thiosulphate (STS) after cisplatin chemotherapy reduced hearing loss by almost 50% in children treated for hepatoblastoma.
