Lung cancer is one of the most lethal diseases worldwide, and the survival rate is less than 15% even after the treatment. Unfortunately, chemotherapeutic treatments for lung cancer are accompanied by severe side effects, lack of selectivity and multidrug resistance. In order to overcome the limitations of conventional chemotherapy, nanoparticle-mediated RNA interference drugs represent a potential new approach due to selective silencing effect of oncogenes and multidrug resistance related genes.
