Aim: Our study aimed to evaluate the possible association between four miRNA polymorphisms, hsa-miR-146a (rs2910164 G>C), hsa-miR-499 (rs3746444 T>C) and hsa-miRNA-196a2 (rs11614913 C>T and rs185070757 T>G), and susceptibility to breast cancer in an Iranian population. Materials & methods: In this case–control study we enrolled 236 patients with breast cancer and 203 healthy individuals. Tetra primer amplification refractory mutation system PCR was applied for genotyping the four miRNA SNPs.
